• Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation provided a $552 grant for a class set of Remo hand drums for the Page and Lee Elementary Schools music programs.
• Thornapple Arts Council provided $500 through their mini grant program to help purchase a video camera for the elementary music programs. The Lee PTO covered the remaining cost of the camera.
• The Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs awarded $1,120.95 to allow the music education program to purchase a new bass metallophone to share between Page and Lee Elementary schools.
Elementary music teacher Jennifer Filipiak said she is very grateful for all of the grant awards that will enhance the music program for her elementary students.
